Plot outline

After millionaire Gordon Stuart left his fortune to the local home for the blind, he drowns under mysterious circumstances. Higgins has to interrupt his vacation to solve the case with Diane Ward, a holiday substitute for Lane. Yudd, lawyer and testament executioner is furious when he finds out, that Stuart had written a new will on his sleeve cuff, shortly before his death: it favoured Stuarts daughter - a person who doesn't seem to exist. Higgins and Ward check on Reverend Dearborn's home for the blind, which has an adjoining theatre. Soon it becomes clear that Stuarts daughter was raised by her great aunt in another name - in the mean time, criminals and Yudd, too, try to get their hands at the fortune with all means.
