Plot outline


Sir Robert Marney, member of the British House of Commons, receives an unpleasant visit on his county estate. Twenty years ago, he had helped a criminal to escape abroad, after a bank robbery. Due to his current position, he cannot dare to inform the police and thus he is completely at the mercy of this spiteful criminal, especially after this man threatened to hurt his young, pretty daughter, should Robert Marney not obey him blind. Without delay, Sir Marney is to appear inside a dubious night club in room no. 13, where he is greeted my a number of further convicts. Whilst planning an assault, a Stiptease dancer is cold-bloodedly murdered downstairs, with a razor blade. In his despair Sir Marney hires private detective Jonny Gray...
