Plot outline

Young Margaret, who is troubled by anonymous phone calls and murder threats, starts working as a secretary for the Countess Leonora Moron. After a set of assassination attempts on Margaret, Scotland Yard's Mike Dorn discovers that Margaret is the daughter of Mary Pinders, who was married in the past to the brother of the countess, Lord William. Margaret is therefore Lord Williams legal heiress and Mike Dorn suddenly becomes aware of the danger Margaret is in. When Margaret is kidnapped to a lunatic asylum, she meets her mother there. Her mother was innocently locked up in jail for many years, accused of murdering of Lord William. Mike Dorn is able to release Margaret and finds out, that the Countess Leonora Moron killed her brother and now Margaret is in her way...
