Plot outline
At the burial celebration for Sir Oliver the ghostly sounds of the deceased laughing comes out of the grave. Peggy - a journalist - reports and investigates this macabre incident. Then unexplained deaths happen in the vicinity of the late Sir Oliver - his brother even believes to be haunted by Sir Oliver's ghost. Yet Inspector Higgins (Joachim Fuchsberger) does not believe in ghosts. Together with the reporter Peggy, he wants to solve the secret of the laughing corpse.
