Blackwood Castle, a castle situated in a foggy swampland close to London. The master of the house, Captain Wilson, has died here. His daughter Jane arrives in order to receive her inheritance. But there is something fishy going on within the castle. The lawyer of the late Captain behaves suspiciously and Jane is to sign some obscure documents. Other strange acquaintances show up and seem determined to seek something in particular. They all become victims of a giant, blood thirsty hound, which hunts down people at nights. Jane calls Sir John of Scotland Yard for assistance, and he makes an interesting discovery... (first Edgar Wallace film in colour)
