Wanted for murder: Arthur Miller, also known as "The Ringer". Arthur Miller justifies merciless his own law and order, as he returns from Australian exile in order to retaliate the killer of his sister. Scotland Yard's Superintendent Higgins has to solve a tricky case, because "The Ringer" skilfully knows how to alter his face over and over again - it appears that he has hundreds of different faces. He commits the most appalling crimes all over the place, but never is seized. Questions over questions - Scotland Yard stands before a nearly unsolvable task...
