Plot outline


The deadly "Shark" has struck again! His trademark: he kills his victims with a shark harpoon. Inspector Wade from Scotland Yard's river-patrol division, is on the case. The first clue leads to a shady harbour inn on the river Thames - The Mekka. The Russian Gubanow is looking to hire on a ship and apparently he is hiding from the police. Inspector Wade suspects him to be the "Shark" and he is arrested. But when there is another murder, Wade realises he has arrested the wrong man. Gubanow is released, but then he too, is killed by a shark harpoon.
